BEFORE THE EVENT:
Your race bibs will be posted out to you to minimise queueing and touchpoint at the event. Please look out for the email from Timing Monkey asking for your address.
We will ask you to self-seed into a start group before you arrive, details of start groups will be in your Race Instructions email. This is to try and minimise overtaking on the course.
AT THE EVENT:
We have ordered extra toilets and they will be spread further apart than normal to allow for social distancing, please observe 2m distance between other people while queuing. Please use the hand sanitiser provided before and after. You may wish to bring your own toilet roll.
There will be signs to help remind you of social distancing, to use the hand sanitiser, to ask you to use a face covering, and to indicate one way systems.
There will be NO BAG DROP so as to minimise touch points. Please leave bags in your car and come to the start ready to race.
There will be a one-way system at the start area, once you have crossed into the this area, you need to be ready to run. Runners will be called in their start groups and then we will start 6 runners at a time, at short intervals. You must wear your face covering in the start area until you have crossed the start line. At the finish, you must wear your face covering after crossing the line, use the hand sanitiser provided, collect your medal and then move through the one-way system to get your post race refreshment and t-shirt if you have ordered one.
Any supporters/crew will not be allowed into the start/finish area.
You must use the hand sanitiser provided on arrival. You must observe social distancing at aid stations in order to protect volunteers and other runners. You may need to wear your face covering if requested. All aid stations will be 'touch-free' as much as possible. You will not be able to help yourself to drinks, aid station volunteers will fill your cups and/or water bottles using jugs. There will be limited amounts of individually wrapped food to select and take with you.
AFTER THE FINISH:
You cannot wait at the finish for other runners, you must move through the one way system. We cannot sadly provide hot drinks at the finish as this will encourage people to hang about, but cold drinks (water/squash/cola) will be available to fill your cup with, and we will have individually wrapped cake/energy bars/fruit or other items for you to take with you back to your car.
NO HUGS :-(
There will be no prizes awarded on the day - prize winners will receive any awards after the event.
All of our marshals, volunteers and aid station crew will be provided with PPE for their and your safety. please respect all marshals and follow any instructions they give you. Any abuse of marshals will result in a DQ from the race.
